Ownership

This site is privately owned by Licensed Canadian Physical Therapist Terry Kane, (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). Terry Kane has been a licensed member of the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta since 1985.

Terry Kane is a graduate of the University of Toronto with degrees in Physical and Health Education (1981) and Physical Therapy (1985). Since graduating he has held positions as Head Physical Therapist with both Canada’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team, The Calgary Flames (National Hockey League) as well as Injury Analysis Consultant to the National Hockey League. In addition to his clinical work, he has written and spoken on Musculoskeletal Injuries and Exercise Based Rehabilitation at some of the most prestigious health and fitness conferences in the world, including American College of Sports Medicine, Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine, Asian Association of Health and Fitness Professionals (Hong Kong, Beijing), IDEA and CanFitPro. Terry is also a editorial peer reviewer for The Clinicial Journal of Sports Medicine and has served as a peer reviewer for The Physician and Sportsmedicine amongst other publications.

  4. Documents must appear free-of-charge on the internet ( no additional charges for our subscribers to view, print or email any document).

Objectives

To assist healthcare professionals, in the field of orthopaedics,

  1. in making the most informed treatment decisions with respect to currently available protocols and,
  2. to facilitate educated and constructive discussions on what constitutes best practices or standard of care in orthopaedic rehabilitation.

We do not host any protocol on our server(s), but rather every protocol is hosted by the authors on their respective websites and accessed by clicking a link within our library.

We screen every protocol to ensure they are written by licensed healthcare professionals, healthcare facilities, or academic institutions only.

Only those protocols which appear in a .pdf format and are currently available free-of-charge on the internet are included in our library.
